I just notice the MLB.TV browser has a button that says "BOSS". You click it and a letter to the Best Boss Awards pops up and covers up the game. It's a nice idea but they need to come up with something less blatant.

It's a hammy.

Keith is big on ice. And elevation. And Ace bandages.

Some trouble but a big K for the first out.

Edit: More trouble, courtesy the guy you never want to shake hands with.

And massage therapists.

2nd and 3rd now with 1 out. No word on the pinch hitter. Was he announced before the pitching change?

The irony is pretty amusing.

They won't know how bad the injury is for a few days.

I'm nearly positive he's the oldest player to ever drive in Jose Reyes and Endy Chavez with a single off of Tim Worrell in San Francisco.

edit: My mocking is trumped by Franco swiping a bag.

I don't know why we didn't give him a 3-years deal. Gotta be the oldest player to steal a base.

Is Julio now the oldest guy to steal a base?

Googling reveals that last year he was the oldest player "in 96 years" to steal a base. Looks like:

="Baseball Almanac"]On August 18, 1909, Arlie Latham was chosen by John McGraw to be the Giants first full-time coach. Later that day, Latham steals second base to become the oldest player to date, at age forty-nine, to steal a base.

First time this year that Duaner's allowed the first batter he faces to reach.

Edit: Big double-play makes that irrelevant.

Gwreck--were you seriously praising a major league manager for remembering to double-switch? Or were you goofing on Willie? I don't know how to read your tone.

Either way, it's pretty remarkable (that WWSB would get praise for such a simple thing, or that in his 182nd MLB game thst Met fans would be twitting him about his ineptness on such a broad scale.) He's making Art Howe look like a Mensa member, and Bud Harrelson like a Mensa president.

Jusr got here -- listening on XM on the car -- Giants announcers.

Two questions. Have they said how bad Bannister is?

How many players do the Giants have wrho are related to other players? Steve Kline...Larry Niekro...Tim Worrell? Any others?

Definetly the latter.
