Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I just notice the MLB.TV browser has a button that says "BOSS". You click it and a letter to the Best Boss Awards pops up and covers up the game. It's a nice idea but they need to come up with something less blatant.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 It's a hammy.Keith is big on ice. And elevation. And Ace bandages.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Some trouble but a big K for the first out.Edit: More trouble, courtesy the guy you never want to shake hands with.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 You know, maybe we should have been walking Moises Alou.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 3 righties due up, looks like Bradford to pitch the bottom of the 8th.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Alright, we'll take it any way we can. Endy on with the go-ahead run, no outs...
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Come on guys, get the run home. Win this game. It's a long way until first pitch in Atlanta.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 2nd and 3rd now with 1 out. No word on the pinch hitter. Was he announced before the pitching change?

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Single plates 2. C'mon old man...
The Big O Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I'm nearly positive he's the oldest player to ever drive in Jose Reyes and Endy Chavez with a single off of Tim Worrell in San Francisco.edit: My mocking is trumped by Franco swiping a bag.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Valentin wouldn't have gotten those runs home.SC=not as high as you might think.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Is he the oldest player to steal a base?
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I don't know why we didn't give him a 3-years deal. Gotta be the oldest player to steal a base.
Guest rpackrat Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Is Julio now the oldest guy to steal a base?
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 It must be driving Rickey crazy to sit in the stands and watch Julio Franco steal bases.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Now with the lead, Sanchez throwing in the pen.

Later that day, Latham steals second base to become the oldest player to date, at age forty-nine, to steal a base.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 First time this year that Duaner's allowed the first batter he faces to reach.Edit: Big double-play makes that irrelevant.
Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Gwreck--were you seriously praising a major league manager for remembering to double-switch? Or were you goofing on Willie? I don't know how to read your tone.Either way, it's pretty remarkable (that WWSB would get praise for such a simple thing, or that in his 182nd MLB game thst Met fans would be twitting him about his ineptness on such a broad scale.) He's making Art Howe look like a Mensa member, and Bud Harrelson like a Mensa president.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Endy Chavez - Hitting Machine
