Not for nothin, but I wouldn't mind rain delaying the start until, say 5:01 pm. I have way too much work to do.

The probable lineup on the Nats' homepage suggests Dickshot was right about Watson getting the opening day ceneterfield/leadoff job, but not so right about Guillen batting third.

I've been really tryin', baby
Tryin' to hold back this feeling for so long
And if you feel like I feel, baby
Then, c'mon, oh, c'mon
Let's get it on
Ah, baby, let's get it on
Let's love, baby
Let's get it on, sugar
Let's get it on

C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby
Stop beatin' 'round the bush
Oh, gonna get it on
Threaten' you, baby
I wanna get it on
You don't have to worry that it's wrong
If the spirit moves ya
Let me groove ya good
Let your love come down
Oh, get it on
C'mon, baby
Do you know the meaning?
I've been sanctified
Girl, you give me good feeling

I'm getting live shots of the dugout from MLB.tiv. Organ music is playing "Brown-Eyed Girl," beating the pants off of any DJing. Ms. Jarvis, is that you? Yay.

Mets in snow-whities with black caps/blue bills. Boo.

National Anthem to be sung by the cast of "Ring of Fire," to conclude with pyrotechnics in Centerfield.

Johnny Cash should just be cut in little pieces and sold on ebay.

ESPN is doing basketball news. (I was hoping for some Mets-Nationals pregame stuff.)

I found out today that I'll also be getting the game on MLB Extra Innings, which will start at 1:10 p.m. I hope it's the Mets feed; if it is I'll switch over. Otherwise, I may jump between Nationals coverage and ESPN until I figure out which one I like better.

Only minutes to go...

Glavine gets the first out. ESPN still isn't carrying the game.

I'm glad I have the Extra Innings package! It's Keith and Gary doing the game on SNY.

VERY cool.

Jose Vidro goes down swinging and looking bad on a Glavine change.

A great way to start the year.

Tom Glavine your current NL, strikeout, ERA, WHIP, etc. leader.
