Beginning with that start, he has walked two batters in 27 innings. His ERA is 3.48 in his last eight starts and, overall, at its second-lowest point this season.Carlos Beltran is hitting .348 during the day, second in the NL.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 When I read that Reyes would be getting the day off, I wondered who would be playing short in his place. I completely forgot that Woodward had been a regular at that position for the Jays. I feel a little better now, and am trying to remove the image of Jose Offerman at shortstop (his original position) from my mind.Later

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Cliff Floyd doubles in Beltran. 1-0 good guys.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 Beltran's tenth steal prior to Floyd's double makes him the sixth Met to have double digit steals this year.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Willie said earlier this season that if he was stuck, he'd turn to Glavine to pinch-hit. Not a terrible idea in the sixteenth inning or something crazy.
