Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Good lord I just watched the replays. This is a mess.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 This Brad Lord guy has only pitched for the Nats in his career. And I think it's clear that he'll never be a Royal.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Gotta love it when an outfielder leaps for a ball that's like 17 feet over the fence.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I'm starting to doubt the likelihood of a comeback tonight.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Boy Lovelady really hates the Mets. He,'s a lot like many of us. whippoorwill 1
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 What a terrible game. Mets have been playing sloppy for a while. It bit them today. Recent winning aside I still think the manager and his shitty coaches need to go.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I mean I don’t know why Tyrone Taylor is just sitting there looking at Morabito.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 The Mets gave away 4 runs tonight. The culprits are Taylor, Semien and Torrens. Awful.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I picked a good day to attend a Syracuse Mets game, watched them win under perfect warm sunny skies and by the time we got to the MLB Mets on the drive home all of the ugliness had happened already.

Taylor simply didn't see the ball deflect behind him off Morabito's glove. And, even if he did and reacted to it immediately, that's still, at best, a three-run triple rather than a GS so small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. Semien's E (should have been two) turned an inning-ending GiDP into a shit show, and Torrens (several occasions) were the much bigger culprits defensively. The Hot Corner 1
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 All guys who are usually solid defensively. Sometimes you just don't have it. But it now underscores the importance of the next two. The Hot Corner 1
