seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Well, at least they didn't wait for Williams this time.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If Soto doesn't send a Dicky Lovelady pitch 500 feet here, this entire season is bullshit.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Soto not quitting, hitting one off the top of the fence for a dubble. Already robbed of a homer earlier today. Austin Slater pinch-hitting for Melendy despite MJ being 2-for-2 with a homer and a sacrifice.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Can we fire Mendoza midgame? Why on earth would you pinch hit for the only good hitter in this lineup right now? HOLY SHIT.
Radar Verified Member Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago I like Mendoza but said to my wife why take your hot bat out just to get a low average right hand bat in there.ugh!.

If you don't want to go lefty on lefty you can bunt with Melendez. Or you can let him hit and hope he can at least make an out to his pull side. But my greater complaint was the pulling his pitchers pre-emptively.
Radar Verified Member Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago I'd like to say we're just snake bit but I'm getting to think we just are bad.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago It's too bad Luis Torrens has a .467 OPS because he gets one out on a tagout and another on a caught stealing and makes Williams look good.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 43 minutes ago Author Posted 43 minutes ago I’m sure Marcus Semien will do some damage here. seawolf17 and ashie62 2
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago You can carry a defense-only catcher - even win with one - if the rest of the team didn't swing wet noodles.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago This team "could" lose 100 games
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago Good thing Benge didn't get on there. Wouldn't have wanted to pad our league lead in double play groundouts.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago Steve Cohen is surely smart in his hedge fund business baseball not so much
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago Alvarez the tying run, but they can't pinch-run for him because they've burned all their catchers.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago Well, I wanted an owner that brought in the right people and let them run things, I was certainly happy with Stearns ,Mets even waited for him, Cohen gave him the freedom and the $$ , trust the process I guess, but he must have questions for Stearns
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago They're gonna hafta fire Mendy metirish 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago Hard to put Mo up there with his manager's career on the line, but man, that's all there is.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted 34 minutes ago Posted 34 minutes ago It would be the right thing to do , preferably before heading West
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 34 minutes ago Posted 34 minutes ago Would they send Mendy on this road?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago I would truly feel bad for Mendoza if he gets fired , but someone has to go Snake biten baby

Said it before that Mendoza makes mistakes but all managers do. This team is the problem. How many losses can we put on managing? No Cohen/Stearns are responsible. Unfortunately Boy Genius will survive and the sacrifice will be Mendoza.
