Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Saturday at 01:57 PM Posted Saturday at 01:57 PM The glory of today's Game Two struggle against the Rockies has been banged out of respect for Lady Rain, gifting to all baseball fans a vision of rare and beautiful — but once semi-common — Sunday doubleheader. Less felicitous is the news that the Mr. Met at the Unisphere Light-Up Bobblehead giveaway as well as Queens Culture Day will be rescheduled to a future date. BOOOOO!!! You could have moved that shit to an indoor location! The Queens Museum!! The World Ice Arena!! Hell, you could have canceled the game but observed Queens Culture Day on the still-dry concourses. This is Queens we are talking about. Nolan McLean is schedule to go in the opener for the Mets. The Rockies, at a loss for an answer, have yet to announce a starter. whippoorwill 1
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM The Mets really need to win 2 tomorrow. Hopefully, the Mets pitching is on point and the offense can give them adequate runs to work with. It has to be tough to feel like you have to be perfect in order to give your team a chance. MFS62 1
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Saturday at 07:12 PM Posted Saturday at 07:12 PM Well, the Mets lost the first game of a series to the Giants earlier in the year and went on to take the series 3-1 They also recently lost the opening vs the Twins but still won that series 2-1 So there's no reason they can't win the final two at home against the Rox ... no reason that is except that we're missing our star player, and the starting pitching is often a mess, and the closer isn't closing well. And finally the part about them not being a particularly good team might also keep them from completing a DH sweep. But other than that ...

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 05:03 PM Posted Sunday at 05:03 PM Number of pitches.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Sunday at 05:04 PM Author Posted Sunday at 05:04 PM They dispaly how many pitches each reliever has thrown each day of late, so we have a good idea who the Mets are most likely to use today.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 05:06 PM Posted Sunday at 05:06 PM What do the colors mean? ANd Manaea threw 61 pitches in one day? Sorry I'm just surprised!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 05:10 PM Posted Sunday at 05:10 PM Colors: lighter use (under 20) or heavier use (20+) And Manaea threw 3.1 innings on Friday so 61 is only slightly high for that length.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Sunday at 05:13 PM Author Posted Sunday at 05:13 PM The colors represent a degree of freshness. Over 20 pitches is depicted in a hot red, presumably to represent a pitcher's burning muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Yellow represents a lower level of use on that day, and so presumably a lesser level of discomfort. Green suggests, as I understand it, a pitcher who is as fresh as a daisy.

And that goes double for Keith.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 06:09 PM Posted Sunday at 06:09 PM My take on ABS is either don't use it all or use it on every pitch I don't see a middle on ABS although I use to
