The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I think McLean just got DeGrom'd. Pitched a stellar game, but gets victimized by lack of offensive support.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Not the main story tonight, but Luis Garcia needs to be DFAd tonight.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Been outscored 14 - 3 over the last 17 innings.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Astonishing how bad this lineup looks. Day in and day out.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Offense is terrible, but also: Mets learned in a powerful way tonight why it helps to have real outfielders playing in the outfield.

The offense was put together on the hope/assumption that multiple guys would improve/return to form/could repeat what they did in a relatively small sample size last year. And of course that was before the best player went on the IL.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I'm tired of hearing about Lindor in March and April , we need him now

Even guarding a slim lead in the late innings, when moving Baty to 1B and removing Vientos makes all the sense in the world. Because they’re playing short handed. they’re short handed because they signed a guy who’s always hurt and now he’s hurt. But you won’t IL him because the lineup is punch less without him. all this talk of better ABs and I haven’t seen shit.

Luis Robert Jr. entered the day leading the league in on-base percentage and he went 1-3 with a walk today. Not a lot of complaints with his approach. I’ve also been generally pleased with Alvarez and Vientos had several good games. Bichette and Lindor and Semien? Not so much. whippoorwill 1
