New York Mets sent RHP Dedniel Núñez on a rehab assignment to Syracuse Mets.

Marcus Semien: Semien (hip) is unlikely to return before the end of July, Tim Britton and Will Sammon of The Athletic report. Semien landed on the 10-day injured list in late June with a left hip flexor strain that's bothered him at least since early May. He believes the nagging injury affected his performance and was a result of compensating for an old foot injury, noting that "it got to the point where sprinting 100 percent was not possible." However, after working to "strengthen some things," Semien is "feeling really good." Semien will likely require a rehab assignment before returning to the Mets' active roster. Injury Hip. Est. Austin Warren: Out with strained forearm. The Mets placed Warren on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a right forearm strain. The injury could help explain Warren's recent struggles, as he's coughed up nine runs over his last two outings. Prior to those two appearances, Warren had posted a 2.45 ERA and 36:16 K:BB over 33 innings. The Mets have not provided a timeline for Warren's return, but the nature of the injury suggests it will likely be longer than a minimum absence. Injury Forearm. Est. Return 7/24/2026.

Mark Vientos: Diagnosed with fractured hand. Mets interim manager Andy Green said Thursday that Vientos has been diagnosed with a fractured right hand and will be placed on the 10-day injured list, Chelsea Janes of SNY.tv reports. Vientos was struck by a 92-mph sinker thrown by Michael Wacha in the second inning of Thursday's game versus the Royals, and imaging revealed the unfortunate news. Vientos will likely be sidelined until sometime in August, though the Mets have yet to divulge a timeline for the infielder. The 26-year-old has mainly been used in a short-side platoon at first base over the past five weeks. Injury Hand. Est. Return 8/14/2026.

Austin Warren: MRI comes back clean. An MRI on Warren's right forearm revealed no ligament damage Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Warren landed on the injured list Wednesday with a right forearm strain, but the imaging results confirm he won't need to go under the knife to address the injury. He remains without an official return timeline, but he will most likely be out longer than the 15-day minimum. Injury Forearm. Est. Return 8/1/2026.

Bo Bichette: Dealing with sore legs, ankle. Interim manager Andy Green said Saturday that Bichette is dealing with soreness in his legs and his right ankle, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Bichette's soreness helps to explain why he has been left out of the starting lineup since the Mets began their series against Boston. Green noted that Bichette is available off the bench, but the 28-year-old infielder may also sit out Sunday's game to give him more time to fully "reset" ahead of the second half. If that ends up being the case, Zack Short would be likely to pick up another start in the infield. Injury Leg. Day-to-day.

Clay Holmes: Throwing live batting practice. Holmes (fibula) threw a live batting practice session Friday at Citi Field, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports. It's the first time Holmes has faced hitters since he suffered a fractured right fibula back in mid-May. The right-hander could begin a rehab assignment shortly after the All-Star break. He posted a 2.39 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 45:18 K:BB through 52.2 innings before getting hurt. Injury Lower Leg. Est. Return 8/7/2026.

Mark Vientos: The Mets placed Vientos on the 10-day injured list Friday with a fractured right hand. Vientos suffered the injury during Thursday's game against the Royals when he was hit by a Michael Wacha pitch. He is expected to be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks, per Chelsea Janes of SNY.tv, so Vientos will likely be unavailable for the Mets until at least late August. Injury Hand. Est. Return 8/25/2026.

Bo Bichette: Sitting for third straight game. Bichette (leg/ankle) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox. Just as interim manager Andy Green hinted would be the case, Bichette will hit the bench for the Mets' final game before the All-Star break while he contends with general leg and right ankle soreness. In Bichette's absence, Zack Short will draw a third straight start in the New York infield. Bichette walked in a pinch-hitting appearance during Saturday's 4-0 loss and should be available off the bench again Sunday, setting the stage for his likely to return to the starting nine immediately following the All-Star break. Injury: Leg. Day-to-day.

Justin Hagenman: The Mets announced June 1 that Hagenman (rib) has yet to resume a throwing program, MLB.com reports. Six weeks have passed since the Mets have provided an update on Hagenman, so the 29-year-old righty could be stuck in a holding pattern in his recovery from the fractured rib he sustained in a March 5 Grapefruit League game. Once he finally completes a throwing progression, Hagenman will require an extended minor-league rehab assignment and will likely be optioned to Triple-A Syracuse once he's activated from the 60-day injured list. Injury: Ribs. Est. Return 8/7/2026.

Luis Robert: Another two-hit game in rehab. Robert (back) went 2-for-6 with two runs and an RBI while playing eight innings in center field in a rehab game with Double-A Binghamton on Sunday. Though he hasn't played on consecutive days since kicking off his rehab assignment June 30, Robert appears to have settled into a nice rhythm at the plate while out on the farm. He's turned in three straight two-hit efforts and is slashing .304/.360/.435 in 25 total plate appearances over six games between Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse. According to MLB.com, Robert is expected to require a day or two of prep coming out of the All-Star break before rejoining the Mets, but he appears likely to be activated from the 60-day injured list at some point during the big club's series with the Phillies next weekend. Robert has played exclusively in center during his rehab assignment, but the Mets could end up deploying him as a designated hitter when he's reinstated to allow superstar Juan Soto and rookies Carson Benge and AJ Ewing to continue playing regularly in the outfield. Injury: Back. Marcus Semien: Semien (hip) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton on Sunday, logging five innings at second base while going 2-for-3 with a three-run home run. After landing on the shelf June 25 due to a Grade 3 left hip flexor strain, Semien initially appeared unlikely to make it back from the injured list before the beginning of August, but he's made more rapid progress in his recovery than anticipated. Semien will put his rehab assignment on hold during the All-Star break, but he's expected to report back to Binghamton or Triple-A Syracuse over the weekend to continue stockpiling at-bats in games. If all goes well in his initial rehab games following the break, Semien could get the green light to rejoin the Mets at some point during the final two weeks of July. Injury: Hip. Est. Clay Holmes: Holmes (fibula) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Brooklyn. Holmes has been ramping his throwing program up and has been cleared to try things out in a game. The veteran hurler posted a 2.39 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 45:18 K:BB through 52.2 innings before going down in mid-May with a fractured right fibula. Holmes is a trade candidate and should be able to return to make at least one start before the Aug. 3 deadline. Injury: Lower Leg. Est. Return 7/28/2026.

Luis Robert: Hopeful to return Monday. Robert (back) is expected to return from the injured list ahead of Monday's series opener against the Brewers, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports. Robert has been playing in rehab games at Triple-A Syracuse since late June and has gone 8-for-26 with a homer, two RBI and five runs scored across seven contests. Despite the 28-year-old's strong performance in the minors, the Mets will give him a few more days to rehab before adding him back to the active roster. Robert likely won't step into an everyday role once he's healthy, though interim manager Andy Green said Saturday that Robert, Carson Benge and A.J. Clay Holmes: Rehab start likely coming Thursday. Holmes (fibula) is tentatively scheduled to make his first minor-league rehab start Thursday, MLB.com reports. Holmes had been slated to begin his rehab assignment this past Saturday with High-A Brooklyn, but as a result of rainy conditions, he instead opted for a 45-pitch bullpen session. The right-hander will look to build on that pitch count Thursday, and if all goes well, he could make his return from the 60-day injured list as soon as July 28. Holmes likely won't be stretched out enough to handle a typical starter's workload immediately upon his activation, but the Mets may be eager to showcase him to potential suitors ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline. Injury Lower Leg. Clay Holmes: Pitches into third in rehab start. Holmes (fibula) surrendered two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two batters across 2.1 innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.  Holmes was expected to pitch three frames in his first minor-league rehab outing since suffering a fractured right fibula in mid-May, and he fell two outs short of the goal. The right-hander had a tough time finding the strike zone at times, tossing only 28 of his 51 total pitches for strikes. Holmes will require at least one more rehab start before being activated from the 60-day injured list. Injury: Lower Leg. Est. Return 8/2/2026.

Jacob Reimer: On rehab assignment. Reimer (groin) began a rehab assignment in the Florida Complex League on July 14. Reimer is hitting .429 with one home run in three FCL rehab games, most recently playing Monday. He tweaked his groin and went on the injured list at Double-A Binghamton on June 18, per Matt Eddy of Baseball America. Prior to the injury, Reimer had regressed compared to his run at Double-A in 2025, as he was slashing .212/.332/.391 with six home runs, 13 steals and an unlucky .271 BABIP in 50 games for the Rumble Ponies. Injury: Groin. Est. Return 7/25/2026.

Eli Serrano: Nearing return at Double-A. Double-A Binghamton placed Serrano on the 7-day injured list with a shoulder strain in mid-June, Matt Eddy of Baseball America. Serrano, who last played June 13, could be back before the end of July, per Eddy's report. The 23-year-old outfielder has struggled in his first season at Double-A, slashing .193/.304/.339 with three home runs, six steals and a 26 percent strikeout rate in 54 games. Injury: Shoulder. Est. Return 7/25/2026.

Juan Soto: Exits early Friday. Soto was removed from Friday's game against the Dodgers due to left calf soreness. Soto logged two walks in two plate appearances before coming out of the game in the sixth inning. The star outfielder exited a game last week due to soreness in the same calf, and although the team has said it isn't anything serious, he could be set for some time off now that it's proved to be a nagging injury. Jorge Polanco would likely pick up reps as New York's designated hitter if Soto were to miss any games. Injury: Calf.
