Thanks for all of your support during our debut campaign! I hope you enjoyed the coverage we had on the Mets (even if the team themselves wasn't enjoyable to cover). See you all in 2027... whenever the season actually gets going.

I would like to see Tong finish well.  The Mets took a gamble adjusting his mechanics and the short-term results were predictably not good, but going into the offseason thinking the Mets did right by him just might do more than anything else to give me optimism.

So there I was, thinking that Ewing needs to get better at knowing what pitches to take, and he gets a fat one on 0-2.  

And then Mauricio just destroys the first pitch he gets.

Baty has what could be described as a seeing eye single except it was hit at 3 fielders and went through all of them.

Was a real mistake not getting ABs for Mauricio this second half. All that time wasted on Semien.

Mauricio hits another one, this time righthanded and to the opposite field.  

There is nothing wrong with Mauricio that wouldn't be fixed by staying healthy and getting regular at bats.

Probably not a major injury for Soto on the HBP, but I have a feeling his season might be over.

Everybody pat Ronny Mauricio on the back, as he just put himself back on the radar for 2027 with no time to spare in 2026.

He should have been up at least a month ago. Inexcusable to give those ABs to Semien.

And learning the strike zone. And not being flummoxed by left handed pitching.
