Whose turn is it to pitch?  Is it Christian Scott? Or is it the new callup?

maybe someone better prepared should have started the IGT.

Justin Hagenman is being given the start as part of a plan to give Scott some more rest.

Hagenman missed most of this year after breaking a rib during spring training.  He turns 30 next month and 2025 was his fourth year of AAA in three different organizations:  2022 he had a 5.57 ERA with the Dodgers organization; 2023, a 3.26 ERA with Boston’s org; 2024, repeated AAA and 4.91 ERA, and 2025 was 5.58 ERA in Syracuse.  He also had 23.2 innings in the majors last year (4.56 ERA).

Suffice to say I’m glad for him he gets a shot in the majors again but is he really a candidate to help the Mets in 2027?  And thus should he be on the roster now?  Ehhhhhh

With Hagenman starting, it's a good thing that most of the bullpen is rested.

Sunday: two NYM runs on three hits in the first inning: one run / two hits for the rest of the game

Tuesday: one run on three hits in the 1st: one R / two H over the next eight innings

Let's try to NOT duplicate this trend again today ... mmm-Kay?

Assuming that there is an actual practical purpose to eyeblack, is that purpose still actually in play when playing under a roof?

Hard to believe that this is the crowd for a first place team in September.  Indoor baseball sucks.

They apparently now have an approved plan for a new stadium that both won't be a low budget suck like this one always has been, but is also in Tampa, rather than St Pete, which is where Little Havana and all the non-senior citizen action is.

Although, reading the fine print, there are still some hurdles to clear.

Benge-a-Min is the only Mets in the lineup not in the hit column.

And there he is.

It's all about the Benge-a-Mins.

The renderings look amazing. But again. Indoor baseball can only get so good.

Morabito needs another HBP

Or a three run double ... I'm cool either way.

Not often you see two 3-RBI doubles in the same game. (and, once again, Gary steals my stuff)

The most productive Mets performance out of the eight-hole since Doug Flynn's three-triple game.

It just took three guys to do it today.

The three-young-defense-first track stars outfield Ronnie is trying to think of may or may not be Niewenhuis/Lagares/den Dekker.

It's a game for the ages for Morabito, but it's a shame he had to do it in a bullpen coach's number.

In fact, I think he just earned the right to put #8 back on his back.
