Brandon Glick Site Manager Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Hard to complain about the pitching matchup at least...

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Where is FFF playing? I read an article that before this series they were thinking of playing him in RF but he played first base last night. Can those old legs play the outfield? Later
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Juan Soto has been placed on the IL with a left calf strain. FWIW, Earlier this year, he was on the IL with a right calf strain. OE: I posted this before a separate thread was started, Later

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Deadest thread of the year. I think Bichette does his best work with two out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Perfect synching from MLB.tv of the Fox video and the SNY audio.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Mets face a lefty hitting in the ninth spot with the bases loaded, but they don't really have a good lefty option in the pen because they pitched them all yesterday. It's all moot, as Rushing lines into a double play as I type, but I HAD A POINT TO MAKE!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 After Ewing just cut in front of Robert to make a catch both were calling for, AJ apologized with a polite Japanese bow. Which is nice.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 "Can you imagine Juan Soto hitting the way he hits and throwing 100? Because that's what we have with Ohtani." — Keith Radd I don't know about Juan Soto, but Carson Benge throws 100.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Strike 'em out/throw 'em out double-play as Gary announces that Jamie-Lynn Siegler will be taking the Glenn Close role and singing the national anthem at the 40th anniversary 1986 Mets celebration.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Hey, you just missed a two-run pinch-double by Tyrone Taylor! It's a game!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Ewing just took a called strike about 9 inches out of the zone, but the Mets were out of challenges.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I hate this team and its inexperienced coaches. Centerfield 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 You non-posters missed a game. Mets are playing teams closer but without enough offense to give themselves any margin of error, and tonight, there was error. Dodgers 4, Mets 3 is your final score.

Errors, botched rundowns, idiotic challenges…the results are awful for things that coaches should be able to fix. Centerfield 1
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Bad defense. Bad fundamentals. Poor performance across the roster from nearly every player. I don’t know goes on behind the scenes but the results are among the worst I can remember.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26 Posted July 26 For the first time in more than 20 years, I will not be making it to any in person NY Mets games this year. Now with Soto on the pine, there's even less reason for me to make the drive. Yesterday was 80+ degrees and sunny out, I went and watched some local musician friends of mine playing outdoor sets and sipped craft beer. Tell me I didn't have a better time than someone watching this toilet fire of a ballclub. We'll still take in a bunch of Syracuse Mets games, cheaper, closer to home, etc.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Oh, Sotolessness is a better reason to go. Be not fooled.
