Looking hither and Yan for help

The Mets selected the contract of Jefry Yan, who has averaged nearly three strikeouts per inning while at Syracuse and nearly two strikeouts per inning on the year as a whole. They optioned him right after selecting him, but he's *this* close to making the majors.

With more experience, he may be able to get it up to four!

Well, he went from averaging about 2 Ks per frame at Double-A, to 3 per frame at Triple-A. So following that rate of increase, he should average about 4 Ks per frame when he gets to the majors.
