And there's a rumor going around that when David Stearns saw all the pitchers being used he made six roster moves in time for today's game just as a reflex.



Going to be interesting to see how the bullpens are used tonight and tomorrow cuz there's no off-day until Thursday and it don't look like rain in the SoCal forecast.

Sandy K. is in the stands and is looking pretty good for a guy on the doorstep of the big 9-0 (Dec 30)

But he looked good for his age at just about every age since he retirement now 59! years ago.



Has he spent the most years on the planet as a BBHoF'er? ... Probably.

Some have lived longer but few (likely no one) have been inducted at age 37 and then become a nonagenarian.

The Blue Jays have been playing good, solid defense. They are error free in the 5 World Series games. The Dodgers have played rather sloppy defense and have misplayed singles into extra bases. Then you throw in the free bases the Dodgers have gifted the Blue Jays with hit batters and wild pitchers and they help to set the table for the Blue Jay hitters. The Blue Jays have made the most of the Dodgers miscues by putting the ball in play a high percentage of the time. As the Blue Jays have consistently put the ball in play, invariably some of them have found holes and led to runs.

Koufax retired young (30), got elected on his first ballot, and will soon be within a decade of 100. Has been a BB HoF'er for now 53 years.
