Doubly so because he hadn't been calling borderline pitches at the top of the zone all night. This one was well above the borderline. That wouldn't have really been close if Aaron Judge was at the plate.

Upside of this game is that, well, they have forced San Diego to use all the best pieces in their star-studded pen, and they still have one more chance.



Downside is there seems to be bad blood brewing with the two teams and with the Mets and the ump. And also that they are losing.
