Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Game is much more enjoyable now.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2025 Author Posted July 28, 2025 Not only do they not get that opportunity of Soto doesn't beat out the grounder, but McNeil doesn't get put on if Soto doesn't steal that base.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Well that good feeling didn't last long.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2025 Author Posted July 28, 2025 Man, it is painful to watch John Gibbons walk to the mound.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Gibbons looks like he's either in pre-knee replacement or just post-knee replacement.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Ridiculous. Can't cover first. Can't get outs.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Baty couldn't make the play. Fucking awful.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 This is more impressive than a grand slam
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Well, at least we discovered which reliever we can trade in a couple days.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 Brazoban getting to face Arraez is managerial malpractice
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2025 Author Posted July 28, 2025 Feels like the only way to get the third out is a hidden-ball trick.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2025 Author Posted July 28, 2025 Forunately they hid the ball in Nimmo's glove.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 This reminds me of the candy commercial (Snickers?) from a few years back: 'Not going anywhere for a while?' (2+ hours / 5 innings)I think I got one more inning in me.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 That reminded me so much of the Tampa Bay inning.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 The Mets respond by going out 1-2-3 on 11 pitches.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2025 Author Posted July 28, 2025 The strike zone is starting to get magical.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 I mean fuck this game. Really.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 THAT call was just fucking ridiculous!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2025 Author Posted July 28, 2025 Frayed Knot wrote:THAT call was just fucking ridiculous!Doubly so because he hadn't been calling borderline pitches at the top of the zone all night. This one was well above the borderline. That wouldn't have really been close if Aaron Judge was at the plate.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 This game is going on forever and of course is destined for Xtra inning
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 28, 2025 Author Posted July 28, 2025 Upside of this game is that, well, they have forced San Diego to use all the best pieces in their star-studded pen, and they still have one more chance.Downside is there seems to be bad blood brewing with the two teams and with the Mets and the ump. And also that they are losing.
