The Phillies have been red-hot over a streak that has lasted the last three outs. The Mets, winners of five consecutive games, have had it going a little longer.



Griffin Canning defends the hill against 6'6" Philly lefthander Cristopher Sánchez. It would be a good night to see Mark Vientos back in the lineup.

Even giving away an out by less than stellar base running (x2), we've still notched a run each frame and made the starter throw four innings worth of pitches and made the Phils burn two mound visits.

The way the Mets have come roaring out of the gate is giving me 2006 Mets vibes.



In 2023, they said they were playing for 2025.
