metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I do like that AJ and Adam often don't agree , it's usually AJ doing the disagreeing
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 He giveth and taketh away. Later
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Plenty of time. I am not worried

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 There is no way this game is ending 1-0
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 (edited) Zimmo got beatGreat pitch Edited October 9, 2024 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 It's a pretty extreme situation, but it's sure weird to pull a guy after 4 1/3 innings while he's throwing a shutout with eight whiffs.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I had no worries until Zimmo took that strike 3
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Good golly, no O through five! Lotta LOB. Feels like first half Mets...
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Hopefully now with the Ranger gone the hitters get better looks and swing the bats
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Nimmo and p Alonzo have overall been a disappointment with runners in scoring position. Add JD to that as well. Having said that I didn't expect us to be where we are. Go Mets!!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 (edited) 2/10 w/RiSP and those two were both infield singles (and slightly tainted ones at that) which obviously didn't score runs. And how many of the other eight ABs were K's ... 5?, 6?, 7?Basically nothing resembling solid contact with ducks out there.Worst AB of them all was Iglesies in the 1st. A contact guy with great numbers off Suarez takes a 3-pitch K, all swinging, on pitches not close, more not close, and even-more not close. Edited October 9, 2024 by Guest

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Well, the Mets get to bat four more times
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Whew. But jeez, score a run already.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 They haven't pushed anyone across, but they deserve a lot of credit for what they've been able to do on the other side of the ball, apart from V's error.Phils are 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position too.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Still not worried. A one run lead ain't shit
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Running for JDM isn't out of the question here, but Mendy doesn't go for it.

Martinez on third is like another runner on second. Two wild pitches to advance him is like a good Christmas.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Man, I'm giving Álvarez the squeeze sign, but I don't think he sees me, which is probably for the best.
