I see that the White Sox are currently riding a 13-game losing streak, bringing their winning percentage down to .242. (15 and 47)



It always gets my attention when a team drops below .250. I'm not one of those fans who wants the Mets to retain their 1962 record. I'd love to see it broken, preferably by a National League team (so that they lose both the MLB record and the NL record, if such distinctions matter anymore).

And on whatever outlet carries the Dodger games in LA but only in those two markets.

This isn't usual practice for these 'exclusive' games but apparently MLB realized, probably belatedly, that they were blocking a

star-laden game that non-locals might actually want to watch from most of the country, including many in-market fans, and so

made an exception in this case. I'm sure a [CROSSOUT]small[/CROSSOUT] Large kickback was thrown Apple's way to make up for it.

Speaking of network broadcasting decisions, the MLB sked is cleared out in the 1:00 EDT time slot so as to make the London game

a stand-alone. I'm sure FOX wanted that desperately and maybe King Charlie III put in a request too.



FOX is pulling triple duty today, going directly from the London game to the Belmont Stakes to, after a brief local news break,

Game 2 of the NYY/LAD series tonight.

Another bullshit replay reversal in the NYY/LAD game.

- 1st & 3rd, one out, Yanx batter called out trying to beat out a GiDP ball

- Boone challenged and about 17 angles of replay were shown without a single one being anything close to 'definitive'

- after more than three minutes of deliberation (and more than four minutes from pitch to pitch) the call was

reversed which allowed a run to score and the inning to continue.



But, remember, replay will only reverse obvious mistakes and it'll be decided quickly.
