Bottom line: we don't get hits late in games; we give up lots of hits late in games.

Oh yeah, and the bottom of the opposition lineup out-hits the middle of ours.

They weren't coming back after the first run scored so the next four were merely window dressing.

Lindor got stranded at 3rd in the first inning

Left out of GKR's post-mortem there which basically blamed everything else under the sun for the loss ... THEY GOT FOUR FUCKING HITS!!!!!! (in ten innings)

And the only runs were scored via solo HRs (all we hit these days) and they were oh-for-13 w/RiSP

We can blame the pen all we want and they have sucked (whose turn will it be to blow up tomorrow?). But they're also being put in a position

where they have to be perfect every day because the offense is so bad and can't even take advantage when 9th inning errors erasing GiDPs

happen two games in a row or score ghost runners.

I missed the game today. I was manifesting a victory at work, but apparently I didn't manifest hard enough.

I actually didn't realize it was so early; I had a great word of the day lined up, too.

Just saw the box score. Another great game by Severino. Another blown save for Diaz, his fourth in less than two months. Sean Reid-Foley—5 runs, 0 earned.

This is the Mets.

Who would have ever guessed the pitchers holding down the bullpen are historically quadruple-A guys Garrett (despite recent issues), SRF and Josh Walker, and also 5.36-career-ERA Jorge Lopez, while the guys who were supposed to be the anchors—Diaz, Ottavino and Diekman—are all very up-and-down?

I can't watch as you all know.

My news comes from these IGTs.

As I've said before I am pleasantly surprised by most of the mets pitching staff for the first time in forever

Insert Frozen video here.

But god dang the rest of this team sucks bhmc. As does Diaz

The team is awful. Not much help on the horizon from the farm.

We are far enough into the Cohen regime that he bears responsibility.
