Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Max Scherzer vs GoT extra Noah Syndergaard, 3:10 start which I like, after missing the entirety of the last two games.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Should be an interesting match-up

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Scherzer is uncharacteristically strike-zone shy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Thanks for getting Heyward. Two big outs with him and Vargas. And really, thanks to the Dodgers for batting him fifth.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Good news: scoreless 1st for MaxBad news: 1 hit, 2 BB, and 28 pitches to do it
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 I can just hear Art Howe or Willie Randolph saying "he battled".Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Marte is halfway towards tying a Joe Torre record ... and that's not a good thing.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 1st inning: 28 pitches2nd & 3rd: 18 combined
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Whoa! Scherzer ejected for a sticky substance!

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Jimmy Yacobonis is the llast piece to the puzzle.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 I was showering. Was Scherzer ejected for arguing or arguing because he was ejected? It's interesting that all this finger checking occasionally amounts to something.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 The TV advertisers must be practically orgasmic. They have a time delay that isn't limited by the new rules. How many commercials will they be able to cram into this delay time?Later
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Nimmo homer puts the Mets ahead!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Tough to remember Nimmo's last poor ABHe's been all over everything every game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 You've got to be smart. If you're going to take goop to the mound, you've got to use your ears.

Then they threw him out with the new glove. The radio guys were confused by it. They said they could read Max mouthing "it's rosin, it's rosin" over and over and didn't know why they didn't run him originally if he had a substance.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Age/shmage. The Mets have four hitting prospects on the cusp. If Marte can't do it, Vientos can.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 I'm not trying to troll Max but for all the money? Geez
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Nice effort, Jimmy.Yakabonuses for everybody!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Dave Roberts for removing a very effective starter for this guy.Now they just need one more hit to cash in on the gift.
