Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Big Schaefer points for the groundskeeper tonight.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Wow the Mets grounds crew got a half year worth of work in today, bonuses coming from Uncle Stevie I hope

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 This has perhaps been the most fun game so far

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Robertson certainly looking like quite the get.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Looks more like Domingo Tapioca ... amirite folks?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Domingo Tapia was a Met prospect at one time, don't know how we lost him
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 We were rooting for the "Defensive Indifference" graphic there
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 I'm not sure any runner has ever been as thoroughly ignored as much as Otto has ignored Bogaerts this inning.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Nice win , Gare with the little extra on the final call
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Terrific pen game after some early control shakiness the Pads couldn't capitalize on.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Great bullpenning tonight + two clutch dubbles!
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 I like Keith's remark as Nido's swinging "bunt" died on the chalk of the third base line. Keith, "It wanted to go foul, it just ran out of steam."
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Excellent win. More like these please.

Nice to finally rough up Darvish a bit.

Gary never sounded as unenthusiastic in his whole career as he did when tasked to read those ads himself. It's unbelievably stupid, but MLB has bowed down to the gambling gods. And the worst part is that they're not merely trying to appeal to the guy with a few bucks on the game. By placing those ads mid- or even late-game with the to-the-minute updated odds they're catering to the hard core dudes who are looking to either double up on a bet they're already winning or are desperate for a way to 'get even' for pre-game bet(s) which are already shot.
