ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Nice to see Gimemez and Rosario moving alongJudge will look good in a Mets uni
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Fun fact: "Sponge Bob Square Pants" has become the Guardians' version of "Narco". It's the walkup music for Oscar Gonzalez, one of the many rookies who came out of nowhere to put up decent numbers for the team this year. He hit the 15th inning walk-off home run to knock off the Rays and the two-run walk-off single up the middle last night.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I have to assume that he lives in a pineapple under the sea.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) I'm very disappointed that Cleveland CF Myles Straw isn't from Wichita like his brother Jack.3-2 Yanx, top 6 as the Guardians are about to lose their second of two challenges on plays that never should have been challenged. And they do. whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Going to bed but I hope I wake up to a happy surprise again tomorrow

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Not for nothing, but Gerrit Cole is possibly the douchiest looking ballplayer I've ever seen not named Bryce Harper.Oh, and either a double or a single + E-8 for Andres Giménez!
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I don't have cable, so I can't watch the postseason from home. The bar I picked to watch the game from tonight closes in half an hour. Fortunately, by city ordinance, they don't roll in the streets till midnight on game nights.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 4 - 2 Yanx end of 8Cole went 7 (would he if D. Roberts were managing?)Guardians have one inning to send the Yanx home.Yanx have one to force a winner-take-all in the Bronx tomorrow night.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Last chance for the [CROSSOUT]seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians"[/CROSSOUT] Guard Dogs ... at least until tomorrow.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 And Cleveland goes out on 7 pitches so they'll settle this tomorrow in da Bronx.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 This gives us the hope that we can watch the MFYs season end with a loss on their home field. Wouldn't that be funner ?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 With their fans booing Judge.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 2-1/2 hours after the scheduled first pitch and they're still in a "rain delay".I understand all the reasons why they want to get tonight's game in tonight, but at sone point you've got to say that this isn't going to happen.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 And now it's been called off and rescheduled for a 4:07 first pitch on Tuesday. ALCS is scheduled to begin on Wednesday night in Houston.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Pedro Martinez just called 'em "The Indians" on the pre-game.Whoops.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 What? What pregame are you watching?I'm still calling them that too.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Ha! We were on a different station
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 4-0 MFYs in the second.3 run homer by Stanton in the first.And a pressure-off, pile-on HR by Judge in the second.Later
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Author Posted October 18, 2022 I turned if off for awhile. When a right-handed 'slugger' hits a 3-runhome to row one of the RF porch I just cringe.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Crap this is not going well
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Do you think that Buck would let a challenge go by? Not a chance but Francona did even though he would have won the challenge.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 He would. I wonder if it's because he lost a couple the other day
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 5-1 bottom of the 8th.Ima gonna' hurl.Later
