That might have been the most tedious, most frustrating game of the year.

He isn't just a waste of a roster spot. He's a waste of DNA.

Yeah, we just got out hit by the worst hitting team in the league, they had more XBHs than we had hits, our starter sucked and we hit into two killer GIDPs.

But, what the hell, let's convince ourselves that it's all Joely Rodriguez's fault.

Yeah, every bullpen has a guy having a lesser season than the other guys, and he becomes a lightning rod. But they were behind when he came into the game.



The whole bullpen was available. If everybody (or even half of everybody) else gets their job done, Rodriguez never sees this game.



Anyhow, I support him and his right to have DNA.

We watched Vientos at Syracuse tonight and he hit a ridiculous HR to deep center that bounced about 3/4 of the way up on the batter's eye. It was a blast.

I think we see Vientos by the time this series is out.



Although, a problem is that he hasn't seen any outfield time this season. He played a dozen games there in 2021, but maybe that was enough to convince them that he couldn't cut it.
