Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Wayne calling it a “play of the year candidate.”
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Zimmo went as apeshit as anybody in the stadium after that catch.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 Sitting here thinking about all the times I've been told over the years that baseball is dull because there's not enough scoring.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 And now Pumped Nimmo up with a risp.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 I'm feeling like the pitchcast isn't placing the pitches correctly as I'm seeing 'em.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 And yeah, I probably pinch-run for Nido here.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 8-9-1 for Otto: Gallo, Bellinger, Betts, TurnerDon't want to see any of those guys on, particularly Betts & Turner, cuz they'll start running wild.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Suddenly, Otto has more confidence in his slider than deGrom had most of the game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 Mookie B's one weakness is that he has the worst excuse for a beard in MLB
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 1-2-3 for Ottavino.Timmy Trumpet warming in the bullpen.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Whew. After fighting off several nasty 2 strike pitches, Betts strikes out chasing a slider that ended up a good 6 inches outside.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Otto gets some Schaefer for that!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 This doesn't look any easier (Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith) for Diaz in the ninth.Let's give him a pad.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 T.T.'s really soaking his moment in the sun, eh?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 Efficient and dominant!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Can TT play "Back in the New York Groove" on that thing?
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 What an awesome, well played game by both teams. Had the intensity of a playoff game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 In two hours and 19 minutes to boot.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 This team is just so goddamn lovable.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 One of the great games of this season. I guess that's deGrom's margin for error: he can't allow more than one run to get the stupid Win.
