bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Hunter Greene throws hard, strikes out many and gives us home runs. The is a good park and pitcher for Pete to get untracked.https://www.mlb.com/gameday/mets-vs-reds/2022/07/04/663036#game_state=preview,lock_state=preview,game_tab=,game=663036https://www.mlb.com/gameday/mets-vs-reds/2022/07/04/663036#game_state=preview,lock_state=preview,game_tab=,game=663036
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Mets played a day game, with no extraordinary travel required to get to Cincinnati. Reds in the middle of a homestand…and this 4th of July game starts at 6:40 PM.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 You never know what you're going to get with Hunter Greene. He could easily whiff 15 and throw a 2 hitter; or give up 7 runs in 2 1/3.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Siddown Votto, your day was three days ago.Today is for real 'Mericans like Nimmo.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Author Posted July 4, 2022 If you knew that Nido would be the spark to get the offense going, raise your hand.Anybody?Anybody?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 I certainly didn't think he wasn't going to contribute.Shortening Greene's workday could go a long way toward helping the Mets sweep.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 The caps look like they were dipped in wet paint.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Man, we should've had a plan about pitching to Drury.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Joey Votto seems to have Japanese sci-fi walkup music.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 That was a strike, Dom.If Keef was here, he'd tell you to stop beggin'.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 The first time Nimmo came up empty, but it was a terrific at bat. Greene found triple digits but couldn't get it past Brandon.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Just as I'm thinking, "This guy is hard but straight, and Lindor knows it," Lindor SHOWS it.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 F'in Braves blowing out the Cards tonight. They're relentless.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Mets have run Greene. Now we're gonna see the https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=rel&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2022&month=0&season1=2022&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2022-01-01&enddate=2022-12-31&sort=16,astoried Reds pen.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Cincy catcher Aramis Ramirez kind of looks like he has a Confederate flag on his chest protector.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 If Dom wants to just double from now on, that's fine by me.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 How did that sound so unrecognizeable? I've only heard it 10,000 times.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Walker with 97 pitches through six, and Imma guess he's done, and we're gonna be seeing some Drew Smith.Still time to tack on a few against this pen.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Good job by Walker. Only threw one bad pitch.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 At this rate, the Mets aren't going to give Matt Reynolds much of a post-season share.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 Mets have a lot of hard outs tonight:liner to 2ndliner to SSliner to RFcomebacker off the pitcher's back pocketseveral deep flies
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 McNeil robbed on a line drive nabbed by Reynolds. Escobar comes through and drives in Lindor for some insurance.
