Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I really thought Walker wouldn't last much longer after that groin-kick or whatever, but here he is cruising through seven.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Only four hits for the visiting squad.Would have been nice if they cashed in more of those early opportunities.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Eleven pitches (nine strikes) for Lugo.I hereby call for him to come out in the ninth.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 All the more reason for sticking with Lou.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 But Buck decided that Lou had to go.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I have a 4 pm work call so I am hoping Diaz can get these last 2 outs here before then.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Well, Fman can make his call.Silly to deploy Diaz, but in this world, "dry humping" is somehow worse.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooks! And six minutes to spare before my late afternoon meating.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 another TCOB kinda win.It seemed like we hardly ever had a TCOB Win* last season.*-Games in which you do enough to beat the other team convincingly but not overwhelmingly. You may make a few mistakes but on balance the quality of your play was better than the opponents to the point at which, after 9 innings, a winning outcome, without a lot of sweat or squirts, is the "right" result.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 Also a TCBY Win*.*-Games after which the manager takes the team out for frozen yogurt, toppings included.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 What a day for day win!Watching Nationals just self-destroyAnd I'm digging my day win!Chowing down on my chili and soyAnd even if we didn't whoop their hideA win's a win, and that's a win for our sideAnd even if Soto got a late homerunMy mind's on Kelenic and Justin Dunn!

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 So I'm thinking that Walker should pitch with a cranky back all the time.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I think we should pre-emptively establish that.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 This one was even stranger as it involved two separate plays/throws to 3rd, one that came from close range and one that came from RF.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Having seen the "double play" I feel that the only time I've seen that before is when playing my son at MLB The Show. I'm terrible with the baserunning controls.
