Why do I feel like this is gonna end in a magical-runner showdown?

"I'm making millions every year but I will still pull an outside fastball so it's an easy out... but you can see pictures of me and my twins in the pool at the team hotel!"

"I have a contract until 2024 but I can't be bothered to block the plate or make a simple tag... but follow me on Twitter for more pictures of my family in Mets shirts!"

I can't do this again. He sucks. Familia sucks.

I love the people worrying about the Mets games against LAD and SD when they can't beat MIA and PIT.

Rojas pulled a Jerry Manuel and went to his hot hand one time too many.

Many factors play in here. Starting pitchers that don't go deep leave a manager handcuffed. And an offense that gives pitchers absolutely no margin for error.

The Mets are alive, but there's no matchup I like less than James McCann vs. a righthanded slider pitcher.

And ... Rojas agrees and sends Drury up.

Maybe they should avoid loading the bases, it's clearly not working out.

And yet we all knew how it was destined to end.

Chisholm tried to throw it away.

Listening on XM but no Howie today. So Wayne + friend, not quite as great. Plus, you know, all the LOBs.
The "friend" is Ed Coleman who is so bad at his job that I'm surprised he doesn't work for YES.

Marlins load the bases in the first with no out, grand slam.

Mets load the bases in the first with no out, K, K, F7.

That's pretty much the difference between winning and losing 3 of 4.

They'll be in 3rd place by the middle of next week, because they're playing like losers.

Mets had the bases loaded at least 3 times, 15 LOB today...

Their approach at the plate is terrible. The results reflect this.

I don't know if the Mets have analytics to back up this approach, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Other teams got valuable bullpen arms at the deadline without giving up too much. This bothers me.

And I think this entire team is too tense at the plate, trying to be the guy who hits the 500 foot homer when you just need a well-struck single.
