Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 The Reds don't pitch particularly well but they do hit.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Jared Eickhoff is not really the guy I want toeing the mound in that ballpark. Maybe we could just get a rubber tee with his name on it and hope that they miss some foul.

But the Reds top three starters, collectively, Miley, Mahle and Castillo, are above average - with Miley being one of the NL's best pitchers this year. I'll betcha that the Mets themselves won't pitch particularly well in Cincinnati either.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 I'm feeling a sweep, two solid wins and sloppy/lucky one on Wednesday afternoon.Bill and his brooms or bust! No pressure. #lgm #ygb #ymdyf

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 I fear they'll be teeing (Eickh) off on Met pitching tonight. 8 2/3 innings of bullpen the day after their two best relievers combined to give up 9 runs to the worst-hitting team in baseball means that there's no margin for error. Unless there's a strong lengthy start, this could get a little ugly. And tomorrow's pitcher is TBD.So not a good place to be in for the Metsies. Hope they're working the phones in the front office.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Three newbies are hanging around the team and Luis said that there will be two moves. I ass-ume that the open (Jake) spot goes to Jerad who goes back after the game and Stock goes up but two players have to move for Nogosek and Banda ("SOUP IS NOT A MEAL!" Yes, wrong name but close).UPDATED (That'll team him to have a big 3-run homer):
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 It's been just short of two years since No-Go's last appearance in a big league uniform.Looking forward to him getting the old career ERA into the single digits.

dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Gonna be a long game. I'll check back in an hour or so. Hopefully the first inning will be over by then.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 On pace for this game to end 32-27. And it wouldn't surprise me if it did.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 Jared Eickhoff - there nothing he CAN do.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 The next person who rationalizes this crap with "they're still in first" can go... away.Get Blankenship off the plane and bring him back fast.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 OK, six is the magic number. Stops now. Also, Guillorme looks like he's got the red-ass over something, besides is own fucking up. Like maybe he took the wrong vitamin.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 When did Luis Guillorme become the worst fielder in baseball?
