bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Pete's numbers with runners in scoring position and less than two out can't be good.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Why don't the Yankees cameras show the two guys they showed earlier when Peraza struck out and the MFY fan looked like the asshole he is?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Savoring the taste of Yankee tears.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 There are just gaps in this Yankee defense we haven't been seeing against NL East teams.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 I can think of one call on a ball at the knees that Culbreath has blown. After that crew in Atlanta, that's something.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 That's about as definitive a Yankee Stadium Special as there can be.Judge may have done Luis Rojas a favor. Now he can pull Walker without controversy.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Luis loves Castro disproportionate to Castro's ability.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Luis still thinks Castro is pitching like he did early in the year. He's not.And Familia with runners on base- dangerous.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Okay, danger averted. So who gets the last 9 outs?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Howie feels Castro has been compromised by the goop confiscation

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Terrible YES cameras/production aside, I am enjoying the hell out of this game. Hat tip to Familia for nipping that rally in the bud.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 I'd give Smith the 9th too. This DH rule is idiotic, but we may as well take advantage.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Little Drew Smith looks like a little leaguer pitching to MFY muscle-bound goons like Stanton and Voit.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Put that mother in the books

I have no memory of the almost fight between Keith Hernandez and Jose Reyes.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Me neither, but hey, all-time Mets http://dailystache.net/throwback-thursday-jose-reyes-gets-in-a-fight-with-keith-hernandez/squaring off!

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Reyes was having a http://www.faithandfearinflushing.com/2008/07/05/reyes-annus-horribilis/rough year over the preceding 12 months. He'd snap out of it in 2008. So would the Mets, as much as they could. AMAZIN' FIREWORKS I preceded by days the club's long-awaited sustained burst of competence, which vaulted them into first place, if not to stay.
