bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 That never crossed my mind. Fantastic!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 This team can be really fun to watch.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Now I'm in the mood for a wet teddy bear.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 I kind of think I would have asked McCannski to bunt there .... and just as I'm thinking that, HO-LY CRAP!The last time I saw a guy looking THAT bad with his swings, then turn around and hit a homer, the guy was Kirk Gibson.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Totally spoiled for me by seawolf & ceetar during the recording of episode 14 of our podcast. My YouTubeTV stream is perpetually a good ten seconds behind the rest of the world.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Rotten swing by McNeil there who looks utterly lost at the dish.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 Unlikeliest part of this rally:Smith hitting a two-strike curve to start things going?Pillar somehow surviving having seemingly struck out two different ways on one pitch to instead work a walk?Morton hanging a meatball over the inside half of the plate to McCann when he's had him chasing breaking pitches into the on-deck circle?
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Bro, it's 4-3. You're gonna jinx it with over-thinking and buttons!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 Man. Now I've got to go in and tell my wife that the ump is close to tossing me because of egregious over-deployment of buttons.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 I'll say here what a skinny girl sometimes says: 'Boy a little padding here would be nice'
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 If this suppression of power stays the norm, Guillorme has a skill set that can really play at the big league level.I'm not sure he has the fire, but he's got a lot of Backmanian skills.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 BIFL. Especially against a guy who can't throw strikes and Peraza Almora due up.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Matzek is Czech for Matz
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 Alonso AND Almora getting "Call Me Al" from the Braves organist.Getting kind of lazy up there, Braves organist.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Holy fuck Almora. Maybe take a pitch or two there.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 I appreciate that Almora can stay in and improve our ninth-inning defense, but I'm afraid that last swing just sealed his fate, and he's gonna be riding the DFA bus in a day or two if and when Nimmo returns.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 MAN I was certain that was fair.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Diaz does not seem as sharp tonight.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Put that one in the books!
