Cody Bellinger managed just one RBI despite hitting the ball over the fence with a runner on.

Seems that Justin Turner thought the ball had been caught so he sprinted back to 1st causing he and Bellinger to pass each other.

So Bellinger is called out and loses credit for the HR while Turner is allowed to score.

2-1 Rox in the 4th

Rays beat Marlins 1-0.

Cardinals score 6 in the 1st, 4 in the fourth, but still having trouble holding off the Reds. Was 10-6 last I saw, Reds left em loaded twice I think

Jays score a lone run via the runner-on-2nd rule in the 10th. Yanx fail to answer.

I still super-hate the runner-on-2nd-to-start-the-10th rule. But I enjoyed it a bit today. The Jays won this game with basically one hit in extras.

I kind of sort of think a guy should get a tally on his homerun totals if he hits it out but something goes wrong on the bases.

It's giving him a homerun with out a run, but as silly as that is, pitchers can get strikeouts without recording an out, and infielders can get assists if the firstbaseman drops the ball, so it's not unprecedented.

Robin Ventura would like a word with you.

Google Miguel Cabrera's HR today - opposite field with heavy SNOW coming down, you dont see that very often!

Here it is. There's scarcely a flake at the start of the plate appearances, but when he hits it a few pitches later, it's really coming down, and visibility is starting to get compromised.

It snowed for a while during my first Mets game at the Polo Grounds in 1962. But nothing like that.

I asked the guy behind me (he had his scorecard out) who that was coming in from the bullpen. He said "Santa Claus". When I turned around and looked at the field, it was snowing.

one of the worst rules ever. Glad it bit the Yankees there but 10 degrees warmer and maybe that's a home run anyway. So easy to tie too, but the Yankees went down swinging (not making contact though, just three strikeouts)

Oriole LHP John Means, whom I am totally unfamiliar with, (although was 2nd in AL ROY in 2019) is one- hitting the Boston thru 7 in their (rain) delayed season opener.

Single to the first Sox hitter of the game and just one walk since. 2-0 Baltimore heading into the 8th

Means pitched against the Mets the night the news of Tom Seaver's death was announced.

Wheeler has given up one hit in the first five in Philadelphia against Los Bravos, and just put himself ahead 1-0 with an RBI single.

Wheeler winds up going 7 (on a low pitch count) and allows only a 2nd inning single to Td'A. He also had two hits and knocked in two. Phils win 4-0

btw, Game Time =2:30

Braves have scored two runs in two games, both coming on a PH 2R HR by ... Pablo Sandoval!

As fat as ever but the Panda can still turn on a fastball.

To this point, pitching against each other, Corbin Burnes and Jose Berrios have combined to pitch 11 hitless innings, with 21 strikeouts. That's got to be at least as rare as a no-hitter. But in a few innings it's almost certainly going to be just another game.

He then tacked on a 3-fer-3 on top of that before finally being retired in his last AB on Saturday which plummeted his BA down to .889
