G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 They need to work in a crowd sound reacting to a home team batter crossing up a shift.I do like that for the first time in Subway Series history we hear no positive reaction to the MFYs at Citi Field.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 The superimposed logo on the pitcher's mound is very distracting as was Keith yawning.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 I'm blacked out of the SNY broadcast so I'm watching on ESPN.Are Gary, Keith and/or Ron in the ballpark or are they remote? The ESPN guys are remote.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 They're there. Keith and Ron are in one booth while Gary is in another. Gelbs is in the stands.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 It's weird. There is a constant low crowd noise sound that turns to cheers when something good happens. Porcello was- eh. And there's a Melky Cabrera sighting.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Gary, Keith and Ron will call tomorrow's game at YSIII from Citi Field, watching it on TV. Which is kind of fucktarded. At least it's on TV.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Edwin Diaz 2020 looks a bit too much like Edwin Diaz 2019 for my preference.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 I know we have a new manager and all, but hey, Skip, go get this guy, eh?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 When that ERA hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's Zamora.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2020 Author Posted July 18, 2020 Mineuetia - when was the last time a pitcher getting changed out doesn't handthe ball to his manager, carriries it off the field, and it's not a big deal?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 One walk between the two teams is curious. Seems like folks were swinging.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Just looking at how that game was played, there's no way baseball's going to complete this season. Yankee players were high-fiving. Virtually no one was wearing masks or social distancing. I don't see how they're getting through this season without multiple outbreaks, especially with two teams in Florida and two in Texas. Hope I' m wrong, but......

Hope I' m wrong, but......I think that if just three or four players on the same team test positive at the same time, the whole team's gonna have to be shut down. The incubation period for covid-19 could be as long as two weeks, so who knows how many other teammates are infected in addition to the three or four medically confirmed cases?California, with five teams, is not so hot either. That's three of the four most populous states. And Arizona's got a team. That's another covid disaster zone.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I was going to say that this is finally the last Sunday afternoon without the Mets but ESPN has seen to it that we have one more week before I can make that statement.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Chasen Shreve looks like a guy you'd try to buy meth from.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Not for nothing but the 2020 Mets suck so far.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Gordon Beckham is on the Mets? I'm so lost.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I don't care about fake games, except when they're simply not competitive. We've been outhit, outpitched and outfielded. Fire the manager, whoever he is
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I'd be more worried if the pitchers were named Jacob deGrom or Steven Matz or Marcus Stroman. I'm less concerned if "Chasen Shreve" gets knocked around.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Ya but the offense and defense has also been shitty
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Jed Lowrie has been placed on the injury list due to "knee discomfort".Who could have seen that coming?Later
