Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Yeah, I think he's from the state of Washington.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 From Seattle according to his wikithang...I wonder if he'll wear a batting helmet on his plaque. Congrats to him,one of my favorites from that era.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 I was attempting to be funny, but I guess I whiffed. It's basically the same thing as Pele being in the US soccer hall of fame.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 I loved Olerud during his time with the Mets. I made a sign for him (one of the few I've made in my life) way back when. It was something like "Go Olerud! The Quiet Riot!" I remember thinking it was super clever and I would get on TV and the name would take off.It didn't.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Along with his unanimous election into the Litigious Neighbor Hall of Fame, Olerud's name is real hot right now.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 I feel that noise

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 No I was making a reference to Centerfield's banner. Soupy had the ice-rink thing, I think
