Hey! Look at that! The wild card team is about to eliminate the league's best team. A team that won 13 more games than the wild card team did during the season. A team that was closer to 110 wins than 100.

That's umpossible.

Passan destroys Roberts: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/27810837/dave-roberts-own-dodgers-disasterhttps://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/27810837/dave-roberts-own-dodgers-disaster

Even Tom Boswell was able to rise from his usual position, on his knees in front of GM Rizzo, to acknowledge Dave Roberts' mistakes contributing to his team's win:

[bLOCKQUOTE]This is now the FIFTH Dodgers postseason that has ended with Kershaw's fingerprints on the weapon found next to the body.

And his manager not only let it happen, he deliberately tempted fate by pointing out that staying with Kershaw “was not analytics” but going with “the man.” As soon as Roberts hooked Kershaw, and went back to analytics and his normal bullpen usage, the next five Nats struck out. It says here: No Kershaw, no Nats in NLCS. Thanks, big guy.[/bLOCKQUOTE]

I guess Howie made up for the three errors he made in the series.

Every time LA gets eliminated for the year, a flower grows.

Gee, I wonder if we should add Roberts to our list of available managers to consider. He might get the ax for this debacle.

Has Seager made contact in this series?

From the "True Blue" blog:

[bLOCKQUOTE]Cody Bellinger went 4-for-19 with a double and seven strikeouts. Corey Seager was 3-for-20 with a double and eight strikeouts. And it is hard to imagine anyone with a worst playoff series than A.J. Pollock, he was 0-for-13 with 11 strikeouts.[/bLOCKQUOTE]

Credit, of course, goes to the WSH pitchers but these are 3 established players, including a superstar, and they stunk up the joint. Not as badly as Kershaw, Kelly and Dave Roberts but close.
