G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 First player move of the figurative second half: Mazza up, Font DFA'd.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 I kinda liked Font. When he didn't suck he was good. What's up with that

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 With Wheeler on the IL, future lights-out closer for somebody else Jacob Rhame returns to haunt our dreams.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 If I were in charge I'd have Rhame grow a fu manchu, select the heaviest metal I could find as his entrance music, hope throws a good inning and then plant scout/sources around the press box to remark to Sherman, Harper and Tracksuit how "dominant" he looked. The momentum will take him from there.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2019 Author Posted July 19, 2019 Down go Mazza and Guillorme.Up come Nogosek and Bashlor.Plus Rhame is reinstated.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Rhame optioned to make room for today's starter Lockett.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 Lockett optioned in deference to Wheeler's return.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 (edited) Dom to the IL with a stress reaction in the left foot. Aaron Altherr returns. Edited July 27, 2019 by Guest
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 With the MFY pitching staff getting absolutely pureed lately, I propose:1) Keeping Todd Frazier for the rest of this year 2) Sending the MFYs a starter of our choice (probably Noah if necessary) for Miguel Andujar who is on the IL for this year* while Todd plays third, and their top pitching prospect (Deivi Garcia) and Zack Britton.Strike while[CROSSOUT] the iron is hot. [/CROSSOUT] you have them by the ba**s.Its a start.Later* = I'm not sure if you still can't trade a pplayer on the IL.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 I propose mowing down the National League nightly.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 The original SHaM thread was about moves we would propose. Are you suggesting they stand pat?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 I'll always suggest they stand pat. Trading players is a crime.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Besides, Miguel Andujar sucks. That team improved because of his injury.A one-year wonder at best.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 You can adjust your scorecards to reflect addition of Stroman, deletion of Vargas.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Dom Smith will reportedly be out of action for at least one month. This being August already, that usually means out for the rest of the season. Either way, one month or two, it's a setback.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Too bad. He had reestablished his value as a big league hitter. I think they'd like to have him come back by late September, if possible. If we're in the running for a wc, he'll be very useful. If we're not, it will important to showcase his health to the other teams, in preparation for the off-season.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, a helluva townMazza will join the Mets thereNogosek's been sent down
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 Tyler Bashlor, who's almost as awful as Jacob Rhame, has been optioned to Syracuse and will be replaced by Jacob Rhame.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 It must have literally hurt Jacob Rhame to not suck last night, because he's going on the IL with elbow discomfort. Taking his spot will be Donnie Hart, new No. 68.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Cano to IL. Guillorme up in his stead.Lockett added as 26th Met for today's twinbill.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Author Posted August 13, 2019 Gagnon is here!Mazza is not.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Mets have sent down Gagnon and recalled Sewald because, apparently, they don't recall how Sewald pitches.Tim Peterson DFA'd. Reached for comment, Peterson admitted he's considering a new profession, "because once somebody says they'd rather have Paul Sewald instead of you, fuck."
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2019 Author Posted August 17, 2019 Gsellman and his sore triceps to the IL. Lockett, who conveniently happens to be in KC, to the active roster.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2019 Author Posted August 22, 2019 Tejada DFA'd. Flexen up.
