This also means its Ultimate Mets Database's 20th birthday. As I relayed before the 1st time I ever saw that site I was in the very late stages of finishing up the writing, maybe even the night or two before. I'd been googling Mets stuff like crazy for weeks and when UMDB showed up I was like, where did this come from?

Yeah, we both went live around the same time. I didn't note the date that the UMDB debuted. I really only created it to sharpen my web development skills. I never really expected people to find it!
