Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/MikeBarwis003.jpg>How am I still employed by this team? Aren't I exactly the kind of guy who is first to get cashiered when a new regime steps in?Wright's career is over. How am I not getting more blame for that? Ray Ramirez used to get blamed or everything, and he was just a trainer. I'm the guy in the gym that's breaking all your favorite people. And ... excuse me ...LIFT IT, BOBBY! THAT'S IT, JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE!!! YOU WANT IT, BOBBY, YOU WANT IT!!!!Will it take the next injury and the next and the next before I'm sent out of town on the S.S. Roessler? Or will everybody celebrate how I turned this team into squad of scratchy-voiced mesomorphs? You've gotta tell me, man.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 That picture is weird. The way it's laid out, it looks like Flexen started as a chubby white guy, turned into a super-ripped black guy, then ended up as a not quite as ripped but better than the first pic white guy.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 I'm not convinced that the Mets have had a criminally disproportionate number of injuries. I think the bigger issue is that the team has had a tendency to either ignore injuries for too long (like Jay Bruce last year) or put players back on the field well before they are ready, making small problems into big ones (Matz in 2017) and big problems into catastrophic ones (Cespedes).
