MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Wheeler VS Bundy. That's Dylan Bundy. But it could be Al Bundy, Ted Bundy or Irving Bundy, the way the Mets are hitting. Doesn't matter.Every day is D-Day (for defeat) lately.Later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I predict the Mets will score 14 runs today.

Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 If it's King Kong Bundy, it might at least be entertaining.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 You know, if Gonzalez is going to bat lower in the lineup than Plawecki, I think you just let him go and try Dom Smith no?I mean, Dom isn't exactly lighting up LV, but you figure Dom can give you at least a .700+ OPS.
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 When you’re reading the game cast and see “grounded out to catcher” two Mets at bats in a row

Guest cooby Guests Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Through two innings, the Mets have no hits, Orioles have two hits, and there is no score
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 On a positive note, wheeler has four strikeouts
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I guess we are scoring all 14 runs in the last 6 innings.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 The good news is that Wheeler has kept them scoreless. If he keeps it up, it will be back to back good starts for Wheeler. He had been doing the good start, bad start thing his last many turns. For those watching, is he using a splitter?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 His pitch count looks very reasonable.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I think Wheels still has potential, and Matz hasn't looked as bad as I feared he might. Geez that's 4 good starters and we couldn't count on winning 2 in a row for 2 months now

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Stop swinging! Just sort of ... lean into pitches.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Three! THREE!Bases loaded and two out for Rosario!BUNT! LEAN INTO ONE!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Getting a lot of money starts from our rotation these days.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 A stellar 5 minutes for Rosario. Other teams call up young players and they are immediate stars. The Mets "future stars" are a 1B who the GM ridicules all off-season and is still in the minors (behind a player who was released twice last off-season) and a SS who can't hit, can't stop swinging, can't steal a base and is only a above-average fielder. Way to go Sandy!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 The GM did not ridicule Dominic Smith all off-season.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 OK, fine, bunting doesn't work for you either.
