seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Haven't started an IGT yet this season. Let's do this. Brewers coming off their own Arizona sweep, interestingly enough.Steven Matz (1-3, 4.42) vs Zach Davies (2-3, 4.24), in a starting pitcher rematch of the April 13 game: http://leaptoad.com/mets/gamedetail.php?gameno=9041We were 11-1 after that game, and then everything started to fall apart. Maybe this series can turn the karma back around?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 I believe in your IGT karma. Let's do this! (I am working a late shift and may be able to tune into a couple of innings via audio in between sessions).
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 I don't if we known thine enemy, but reliever Josh "Player" Hader has a 17.8 K/9 over 29.1 innings. He strikes out 2 of every 3 guys! Wannabe hitters are batting .086 against him. With Jeremy Jeffress and his equally freakish 0.35 ERA and Corey Knebel closing things out, if they're ahead after, like 5 innings, we're prob fucked. Lets go Mets!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 A Matz game where the Mets don't fall behind early. I'M PUMPED!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 1. I realize there are no outs, but I'd've sent Rosario.2. Can we get a ruling on a nickname for Nimmo. I'm thinking The Destroyer or something.

Roasrio held up to make sure the ball would clear the RF and then the ball came off the wall and right back to Yelich.Cabrera finally gets the Mets a NiSP, that a hit with Nimmo in scoring position. Hell, nobody else gets as far as 2nd on this team so we might as well call it that.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 It seems like whenever something good is happening, Nimmo is involved!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 And even when something good almost but doesn't quite happen.Funny. Yellich looks weird in a Brewer uniform and in right field.

Good on the Mets for playing it safe and cashing in.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Five-pitch inning for Matz. This is looking like it could be a game, guys.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 That five pitch inning gets Matz back to 'average' for pitches/inning (75 thru 5) so he could be good for six or even seven!!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 You cannot get Brandon Nimmo out these days.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Two-strike curves out of the zone so as to be waved over and/or brushing its bottom edge to induce grounders... THIS is a Matz I can get behind. And hey! 6 innings!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I thought Matz might get in trouble there but he is through 6 without damage!now for the terror of the bullpen
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I think the Mets pen is as good as any, last night included.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Can't do audio at work, too much else going on. Following via ESPN gameday, which is a pretty weak way to watch a ballgame.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Only four hits by the Crew thru six and of those I remember two bloops plus an infield single. There were a couple loud outs thrown in here and there but even those were more long-ish fly outs than hard-hit liners.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Yeah, the long fly that Cain hit was the only mistake I saw.And the Mets getting to the vaunted Brew bullpen in Game One. Big.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Five runs in one game, is that allowed?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Rosario could reach and set up Nimmo with the bases loaded.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Eight consecutive times on base by Nim.Eight!
