Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 deGrom vs. some shit ass Marlins pitcher. And on we go!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 On November 20, 2017, Smith was traded to the Miami Marlins along with Garrett Cooper in exchange for pitcher Michael King and international bonus pool money.Well, if that doesn't say Future All-Star, then I don't know what does.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Caleb Smith has made 6 career starts. None of them longer than 5.1 innings. He has a 1.80 WHIP this year, slightly higher than his career WHIP of 1.70. His career ERA is 6.67. In his last start against Philadelphia, he took the loss after pitching 3 innings, giving up 3 ER, and walking 6 batters. What I'm saying is, this guy is going to throw a 2 hit shutout tonight.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Even if he does, the Mets will somehow find a way to win!

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Caleb Smith sounds like an extra in the biopic on Brigham Young
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 How in the world did Cabrera get around on that?
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 The Marlins might be the only team that draws more fans to their spring training home games than their regular season home games. And probably two-thirds of the people in the stands tonight are transplanted New Yorkers rooting for the Mets. They might as well turn out the home run fountain thing when the Mets hit a homer, since it's basically a Mets home-away-from-home game.Speaking of home runs, Cabrera just goes kaboom!
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 With Nimmo gone, who is the fifth outfielder? Reyes?

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Crappy inning for Frazier
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 STINKY inning for Frazier.Turned two outs into hits.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Can't play like crap 3 nights in a row and keep winning
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I think that homer was the only hard-hit ball in the inning. Now, our pattern so far is to give up a lead, then get it back right away. Let's see some fireworks!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Well, that was annoying.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 And Frazier leads off with a double to get it started!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Justin Bour is more dangerous than Bryce Harper.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 anyone depressed with the game right now, I suggest flipping over to YES between innings for a cheery suprise
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Mets need to grind out some sound defense. Ugly tonight.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 whoops - just missed the Flores homerun while watching Betts hit a grandslam off a Yankee reliever, oh well!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 Wilmer with the nice kaboom. It's not over yet!
