nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Ramos getting his shoulder looked at, hopefully they find an explanation beyond "he sucks"
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 13, 2018 Author Posted June 13, 2018 This morning I suddenly remembered the Mets have a guy at AA named Yoenis Céspedes. He's 2-4 in two games so far with both of his hits being doubles. He's only played two innings in the outfield thus far.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I hear he likes it in Binghamton though
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Any new updates on Thor or Cespedes?Rest?60 day DL?
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 They are both on my fantasy team. I’m sick of them both
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Bruce. Back. Day to day as of now but talk of DL.
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 There are six cats in my house. There are two in the yard. Some of them are ailing. My son and his wife have eight cats , some of which are ailing. My daughter and her family have two cats, both of which are, frankly , elderly (one from chester county,pa, streets which makes her tommie Agee tough as hell) Ladies and gentlemen, your new and improved New York Mets I Wish
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Looks like Ramos is having surgery and is done for the season. https://metsmerizedonline.com/2018/06/aj-ramos-to-undergo-surgery-to-repair-torn-labrum.html/

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Hoping Cespedes gets back quickly so that he can be traded
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 So much for him running "soon"I don't know if this is so debilitating at this point or is Ces just jakin it?http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/6809/yoenis-cespedesIs he insured?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 I'm having a tough time being positive about Nimmo's hand.I'm trying to get past it by finding a way to love Kevin Kaczmarski, but I'm not there yet.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Nimmo MRI OK, termed day-to-day.Take that as you will.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 With any luck, we'll have the smilingest pinch-runner in the division.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 TJ Rivera off the DL and at DH for St. Lucie tonight.Heal fast, Homey!Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 10, 2018 Author Posted July 10, 2018 Jason Vargas was clearly beyond the simple and lowly skills of the New York/Penn League, throwing six shutout innings for The Cyclones against The Staten Island Yankees, giving up a lone single while walking none and striking out nine. The Clones offense and pen were happy to help prepare him for his return to the Mets by giving him just a 1-0 lead to depart with and then blowing it in the bullpen, losing 2-1.It was something of a reverse of the previous day, a 2-1 victory over the Yankees also featuring another encouraging start by a rehabbing Mets pitcher, with Noah Syndergaard going five innings, giving up one run on two hits, walking one, and striking out seven.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Syndergaard on track to start Friday night vs. Nats should his Wednesday bullpen go well.Bruce's hip had a setback (it realized it was attached to Bruce). Jay will be shut down for ten days.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Any slim hope of trading Jay Bruce before July 31 is becoming even slimmer.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Bruce has two more years left. He's not going anywhere.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 Well, he could be traded for somebody else's he-has-two-years.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Bruce can be traded until August 31. Not a chance in the world he wouldn't clear waivers.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 In the end I feel like we are going to be stuck with him. Even if he gets back and starts producing, I don't see any team taking on his salary for the remaining 2 years based on just a few good weeks.I guess we can hope that he kills it for the entire second half, but even then with all the talent available in the offseason I don't see anyone taking him on.Part of what makes it difficult to contend in 2019 is the money already committed to Bruce, Vargas and Anthony Swarzak.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Todd Frazier broke down again. Oblique. That should be a month
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2018 Author Posted July 14, 2018 And T.J. Rivera pulled from his first rehab game with elbow pain.
