This morning I suddenly remembered the Mets have a guy at AA named Yoenis Céspedes. He's 2-4 in two games so far with both of his hits being doubles.

He's only played two innings in the outfield thus far.

They are both on my fantasy team. I’m sick of them both

There are six cats in my house. There are two in the yard. Some of them are ailing.

My son and his wife have eight cats , some of which are ailing.

My daughter and her family have two cats, both of which are, frankly , elderly (one from chester county,pa, streets which makes her tommie Agee tough as hell)

Ladies and gentlemen, your new and improved New York Mets

Any new updates on Thor or Cespedes?

Rest?

60 day DL?

Cespedes I think was starting to slowly ramp up.

no word on Thor yet but he was getting coffee in Denver on Monday so she's still with the team and not in PSL.

I'm having a tough time being positive about Nimmo's hand.

I'm trying to get past it by finding a way to love Kevin Kaczmarski, but I'm not there yet.

Jason Vargas was clearly beyond the simple and lowly skills of the New York/Penn League, throwing six shutout innings for The Cyclones against The Staten Island Yankees, giving up a lone single while walking none and striking out nine.

The Clones offense and pen were happy to help prepare him for his return to the Mets by giving him just a 1-0 lead to depart with and then blowing it in the bullpen, losing 2-1.

It was something of a reverse of the previous day, a 2-1 victory over the Yankees also featuring another encouraging start by a rehabbing Mets pitcher, with Noah Syndergaard going five innings, giving up one run on two hits, walking one, and striking out seven.

Syndergaard on track to start Friday night vs. Nats should his Wednesday bullpen go well.

Bruce's hip had a setback (it realized it was attached to Bruce). Jay will be shut down for ten days.

Bruce can be traded until August 31. Not a chance in the world he wouldn't clear waivers.

If he leaves either by trade OR waiver claim, Zei gezunt. (Be well! Goodbye! Farewell)

In the end I feel like we are going to be stuck with him. Even if he gets back and starts producing, I don't see any team taking on his salary for the remaining 2 years based on just a few good weeks.

I guess we can hope that he kills it for the entire second half, but even then with all the talent available in the offseason I don't see anyone taking him on.

Part of what makes it difficult to contend in 2019 is the money already committed to Bruce, Vargas and Anthony Swarzak.

And T.J. Rivera pulled from his first rehab game with elbow pain.

Crap!
I was wondering why they pulled him out of the game.
Hopefully, its just some scar tissue/ adhesions doing their normal post-surgery thing.
