  1. A little Gregg Jefferies bashing in the booth. Always fun.
  2. Keith has sounded like he has a cold for a couple of days now.
  3. soupcan wrote: they don't want to face the Yankees in the WS for fear of the badgering they would get if the Mets lost. Weenies. I want to use a different word, but I won't.
  4. Junior's projection might be off too.
  5. Keith Hernandez looks nothing like Tom Selleck. As in not even the tiniest bit. Sorry.

    I expect

    Agreed. Lots of young arms.
  7. Wagner blows by Sisk and into the top 10. That's where he'll end the year. 11. Weak grounder by Milledge, but he was busting it out of the box. And he beat it out when Kent bobbled it twice. .....And then he gets picked off. Just as I was complimenting him. Heilman in to face the top of the order. I want a Met win today. I WANT ONE.
  12. Vic Sage wrote: There is also available a 3-hour "concert film", if you will, of Smith talking to a college audience. He is hilarious in recounting his adventures in Hollywood and behind-the-scenes anecdotes. Despite its length, and despite the fact that its just a show of Smith standing and talking, it's a surprisingly watchable and funny film, well worth checking out. Links to this (or what I think you are talking about) in the other thread.

  14. Here we go Mets. Yancy, get that Stinnett UMDB page updated.

    I expect

I agree...it's all about the pitching. But I expect that we will have good pitching; that both the young guys will be good and that free agency will be good to us. I'm pretty much throwing blanket trust behind Omar.

  22. SteveJRogers wrote: ="Edgy DC"]Steve has an agenda, to correct the thinking of sports radio broadcast personalities. I say, tune in to music instead. I'm starting to think the same way... I thought it was midly amusing and I thought I'd share it with the group along with my reasoning as to why its a stupid thing to stir the pot with. Probably one of the more dumber ones I've heard in a long time, well in part due to how many days the guy gave this drivel. I don't know a nice way to say this Steve. Your latest post is pure bullshit. You post dumbass things you hear on the radio or read on the web all the time. And then when someone mentions how stupid your post was, you claim that you're posting it only to be funny, or to stir the pot, or to show how stupid someone is, or some other load of crap. Then you'll claim you're starting to change your mind about listening to or reading those things. And then a week later you'll be restarting the process. Weird.
