I meant to label that on my DRAW A STADIUM submission, but never labeled anything. The Mets should definately incorperate their history into a new stadium in any way possible. Every way possible. I dont like the last Met stadium that was proposed--the Ebbetts like one with the roof. Im not against the new 'old style' lookin ones. I just think the Mets should come up something thats individually them. When Shea came along it was really a new and novel looking type of stadium. It was cutting edge. All the cookie cutter stadiums came after that. Somehow, I think they should do that again. Come up with something totally unique and novel. And then everyone can copy that for the next 20 years or so.

My Own Quote ]I found that stat wise including triples for batters and complete games for pitchers made it much more interesting because they were kinda rare occurances compared to other stats. And some weeks a complete game decided a tiebreaker situation catagory wise. Some weeks no one got a complete game. I found the more stats the more interesting it was. One of my leagues had minimal stats, just the biggys (like hits/homers/wins/Ks-no doubles or triples, innings pitched, shutout,etc) and it was okay, but not as exciting. Ill check the way my brother set his up. I didnt mention shutouts up there but that was another kool one. And a complete game non-shutout may have been the rarest stat of all, which simply fell under the complete game catagory. But those two, more than not, went hand in hand. Im down for whatever you decide here.

I believe all the web ones I have been in were head to head. More than 10 catagories I think tho. Ill have to check.

I believe at yahoo you can do both at the same time. Set it up to be able to do both. People can make the live draft or leave an auto pick list if you cant make it. But due to changes in availability as it occurs, it wouldnt be fair, IMO, to players who cant be there. I assume by snake draft you mean a pre-pick list and an auto draft.

free. The 1st two yrs I played fantasy baseball were for money (non internet) and I won alotta money. I dont wanna take advantage of you people so I suggest free. J/K....not about the winning the money tho. Alot of that was luck. Havent done bad, but havent been as lucky with on line fantasy BB.

Glad I could help. I think anyone who went to Met games in the 60's and 70's knew exactly who he meant by the sign guy. That guy was a legend. And yes, he printed those signs up himself and was a huge Met fan and should be recognized as such.

When I got into baseball and was looking for a game, Id heard about Strat0matic and when I went lookin for it, I saw the Gil game. It was very similar, but I dont think as complex as Strat (from what Ive heard). But you had dice and charts and that board. Results were unique to that game tho, I believe. I remember Id roll ...the chart would say something like : "Grasscutter up the middle." Then my brother would roll to see the result. I googled the game name and found that pic. I was surprised to find a pic. Im sure I mentioned my brothers and I got much more into a game called ALL STAR BASEBALL, a spinner game, which was a most simple game. But hey! Im a simple guy.

Also kinda glad no one touched on the subject the other night when he visited, even though it would have been fair ground. Cause that was a fine thing he did, sharing his time with us. This is a most interesting thread. So your projecting Reyes has a .311 OBP in 2006. mmmmmm. Id want to see a higher OBP in 2006, a real improvment, not so much in his number of walks, but in his discipline at the plate. The walks will come as a result of that. I dont want to deminish his agressiveness, but I want to see it tempered with patience. I do believe we have to think of him in terms of the top end of the line up. Anything else would fall short of his potential. Grabbing afew of his FA years could be wise, but I dont think any agent would advise that he does this if he shows a marked improvment in 2006. But, given your projection, the Mets would be foolish to go there. I rarely say "this i have to think about", but "this, i have to think about." Great thread Bret.

I have quite a Met digital photo collection and I should start posting some stuff. This one had writting partially covering Yogis hat, from a cover of Sports Illustated, but I doctered it in Paint Shop Pro to get rid of that and make it just a nice picture.
