  1. Excellent! Who were the two wives!!!???
  2. If Rizzo's gonna keep hittin' forgettaboutit! Cubs ATW! 1-0 Chicago. 1st
  3. Fantastic work! Ingrid Berman's ghost, lmao. Still stunningly beautiful. I think Conforto expected the fans to back him on this, and the loss undermined his chaaaaanfidence. 'lil bit.
  4. I like Wright getting the MVP(and alladat other stuff). I really thought that was going to happen one of those years. I recall making more than one Wright for MVP graphic rooting him on.

Why is this even under discussion? Ridiculous. Later This^. 3rd, off the bench, whatever. I think the only thing that will light Jose's fire is getting another chance to get to the post with New York. He wants to be squeezed like a wet towel of all he has left to give. I say we squeeze.
  6. Oh, well, there it is. The Cubs can't hit the curve ball.
  7. I am surprised by the lack of bats re:Cubs. My Cubbies are in trouble!

But when the narrative got to the 1970 playoffs (that's what playoffs were called back then --- playoffs) where the Reds beat the Pirates to take the NL pennant, the footage was of Joe Morgan batting against Pittsburgh. Morgan was an Astro in 1970, traded to Cincy during the off-season in between the '71 and '72 seasons. The same off-season that yielded the Ryan for Fregosi trade. Good catch.

  10. Montero:(probly not exact) "It was a good slider that got on the barrel of my bat,...a good slider for me,..." Great game
  11. OMG, FowlerBOOM!
  12. WOW! Montero rips a granny! 7-3 Cubs
  13. Just to torture us they remove the crowd noise and it's just Buck. Ha.
  14. Oh maaaaaan! TIED! If Buck tries to make that analogy again, Rizzo play and Bartman grab....I'll have to mute it. "Thanks for picking me up?" Dude, he made a fantastic effort for a ball he hardly had a chance for and no fan was near it. And his team-mates were not down on him for having it slip out, mid-dive, into the stands.
  15. ugh man, he's trying to make a Bartman outta somebody!
  16. Bryant is so tall if he didn't squat at the plate like that the catcher would have to stand up to cover the strike zone.
  17. Joe Buck is insufferable to me. Is droll the right word? OE: Nope, I looked it up. Too good for him. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/droll?s=t morbid of voice?
  18. Frayed Knot wrote: Hmmmm, (Cubs catcher) Ross seemed a bit pissed at Adrian Gonzalez following that play at the plate. Not sure why because I didn't see AG do anything wrong, but Ross seemed to be glaring and showing the ball back in the direction of the Dodger dugout for about 10 seconds after the play was over. This was almost as bizarre as Werth the other night. I guess the new thing is to make them make the throw. AG did put up a wing.
  19. Anyone see the Fowler catches in this game? The Cubs are going all the way! 3-0
  20. Noah really gets around. The little funny clips, the photo ops, magazine covers, and now a cartoon. Who does he think he is? Matt Harvey? [youtube:2ebcrgah]-f9IPknw0gE[/youtube:2ebcrgah]
  21. That pretty much confirms it. I'm a dick. lol.
  22. I can't recall the last time I put out a 6. Santana? I'm not adverse to it, it's just that you really have to work to get a 6 from me. A pitcher goes 82/3 of shutout ball.... 5.9999 If he K's 10 or more (for 82/3) he might get that 6. Batters really got it rough. I always try to give a reliever something. Pinch hitters as well, if they do their job. The PH had one job. If he gets a hit he gets a full point from me usually. See, I'm a difficult dick, but I'm a considerate dick.
  23. I really like what Ive seen from Dave Roberts. Intellegent, can express himself clearly, takes unconventional chances, bucks the trends. We always talk about bringing in the closer in the most crucial inning, even if its the 6th or 7th, when he is needed most. Andwe were talking about that years ago. Are we that far ahead of the curve?
  24. He;s letting him face Harper. 3-0.
  25. This is my kind of managing. Give the guy 1 bump. Odds of it being a kaBoom are...I don't actually know, but give him a chance to get thru it. Evertime I look up Harper us at the plate.
