I'm putting this here seeing as discussion of the potential spot starter seemed to move from the 25 man roster thread to here ..... if a sport start is necessary and they DON'T turn it over to Heillman and promote on of the relievers that are on the 40 man roster WHAT IS THE POINT of taking up 7 roster spots with Heath Bell et al!

go go Darren Oliver! Still there's quite a bit to throw in the WIllie Watch here I reckon ... Great win though 14-7's a pretty tasty start, even if we just get 1 from 3 in atlanta they'll be below .500 and we'll be well above.

well why don't we say if he gets over EITHER 450 at bats or 475 plate appearances. That way if he discovers bondsesque plate discipline you don't get caught out by him falling short of the 450 ab,

Why wouldn't you take up my bet about the 450 ab, 750 ops nature of his season if you're so convinced he's "having a good one"

jesus christ; ty wigginton moved off 2nd base in 2000. Presumably there's a reasons for that. And sure he's got off to a hot start but it's ONLY at 63 AB that he's had here and there are a host of other guys who've raked in 63 at bats only to prove to be pretty useless over the season. I'll bet you this, if he gets to 450 abs his obp will be below .330 and his OPS will be below .750.

thing is, if milledge comes up he can play centre and possibly hit, unlike for example, ENDY CHAVEZ, who we are currently running out there. Bringing Diaz back up DOES not stop that. I'm 100% with Edgy on the 4 outfielders into 3, especially when Delgado gets an occasional rest Nady can fill in for him instead of y'know John Valentin or something horrible like that.

we could dl anderson hernandez too; he missed a freakin' game with back spasms. I'm, getting AWFUL tempted by a temporary promotion for young Lastings. He's got an obp of .439 and a SLG of .636 @ AAA !!!! He can play centre/left/right.
