  9. This list could be a good starting place for a prospect to adopt. Perhaps you could highlight the players that we Crane Poolers have already adopted. Not to make more work for you Edgy, but you do seem to like doing things like this. Thanks!
  10. I don't even have a car and I like listening to Car Talk.
  11. I'll use my psychic abilities to their utmost.
  12. The weekly archiving of the forum will commence around 4 pm this afternoon. If there are are threads that have been inactive for 30+ days that you would like to make sure aren't archived be sure to make a post in that thread and/or send me a pm. After the fact complaints such as "I can't find the All-Purpose Navel Gazing thread!!! Why was it archived?!?!" will be laughed at derisively, then ignored.
  13. Is there baseball being played?

  17. Weird but funny moment at the Red Sox game yesterday in which one fan randomly threw a pizza at another fan while the latter fan was going for a foul ball. The commentators on NESN were able to review the film and have the pizza hurling fan ejected. It's on Youtube of course!

  21. Just make "single-season streaks" and "multi-season streaks" different entries in the record books and all problems are solved. Of course, a record for a single-season consecutive games played streak is pretty dull since lots of guys have managed 162, and those who have 163 or 164 is credit to their team playing extra tiebreakers more than any greater hardiness they have over a guy who played 162.

  23. One of my best friends is a Braves fan. This Braves fan friend has a newborn son who shares a name with a Mets prospect. Thus I have to adopt this prospect and make sure he's never traded to the Braves. Here are the vitals on Daniel Murphy: Born: April 1, 1985 Birthplace: Jacksonville, CA Height: 6'1" Weight: 210 lbs. Pos: 3B Hits: L Throws: R School: Jacksonville University He had 80 at-bats with Kingsport, Brooklyn, and the Gulf Coast Mets last season. He's suffered from a knee injury and tendinitis that have slowed down his career a bit. This season he's playing Florida with the St. Lucie Mets. St. Lucie Mets page Scout.com profile Daily News Q&A
