    Jackpot

    Hey! New guy! Cool. Welcome.
  2. You know? I really want Phil Hughes to fail. Not as much as I want Joba to fail, but I want him to have a Mike Pelfrey 2007 line this year.
  3. Come on, Ryan Church, hit a three-run home run here so we can hear Rick Astley all season.
  4. Well, fuck. Cancel the season. edit: SJR, more the former than the latter. Thankfully, I don't deal much with the latter.
  5. Sorry I'm blasting everyone who gets in my way. Dealing with lots of ignorant parents today, which makes me grouchy.
  6. Jackie Robinson would have hit a grand slam in that spot.
  7. [valadius]If the Mets lose this game, they will not win the division. It'd be mathematically impossible.[/valadius] edit: Just messing with you, Val. You're always so definitive on things.

  9. I don't want to "build a winner." I don't want guys who are scrappy just for the sake of being scrappy. I want the best leadoff hitter in the history of the game. Rickey's career postseason numbers KILL Jackie's, and it's not even close. So don't go there.
  10. I'd rather have Rickey in his prime on my team than Jackie Robinson.
  11. For all those who doubted Delgado, he's currently hitting at .409.
  12. You don't like it, just ignore the thread. It's not like he's peeing on your dog.
  13. Valadius wrote: For all those who've doubted Delgado, he's currently hitting at .381. Dude has 21 ABs. Let's relax a bit.
  14. Always liked that Delgado kid.
  15. Gee, that Orlando Hernandez kid seems a little old for A-ball, doesn't he?
  16. Effin' A, Mets. Did you see the story on SNY the other day about the Opening Day party at some bar, with all the crazy die-hard Mets fans there? Not a single fucking black hat in the bunch. Every person they showed had the same fitted blue cap. No black, no pink, no green, no white. Blue, with the orange interlocking NY. Is it so fucking hard to keep one hat? Really?
  17. metirish wrote: Yeah you're right , I thought he was brought to the Bronx as a first baseman. He was, because they already have some guy who plays shortstop.
  18. It might be because Muniz still has options; they might know Wise is a short-term injury, and they want someone they can shuttle up and down without having to pass him through waivers.
  19. Yeah, but Ryan's a Boston guy, so Yanqui fans will disregard everything he says anyway.

    Suck it, Yankees.

X Nady singled to center, N Morgan scored, J Bay to second. (4-3 Pirates) J Bautista grounded out to first.
  22. List updated. I've given myself the Cubs too.
  23. Wait, cancel me on the Padres. I'm on vacation that week. I'll take the Astros instead. I'll update the top post.
  24. You had me at "SteveJRogers." Just kidding. I'd love to be there, but I'll get my copy autographed in May.
