  1. If I saw Rudy on the street right now I'd be tempted to boo him.

  7. Clint Hurdle is the guy I always think of first in this type of question. 1985: with Mets, Cardinals win 1986: with Cardinals, Mets win 1987: with Mets, Cardinals win

I shoulda waited until tomorrow morning to post this quiz. Looks like you were only off by an hour or so.
  9. END THE SEASON NOW!

  11. 92-70 1st WORLD SERIES CHAMPS MUTHAFUCKAS
  12. Mets over Detroit MFYs 5th place
  13. I agree. I love the idea, but the interface can be terribly confusing at times.
  14. Yet again, though -- I don't know why anyone would want to play for this team. It does seem like it happens all the time.
  15. Seawolf is paid as of today. We have random interlopers? How did that happen? I wish I knew who was who.
  16. I was going to start this same thread this morning until I actually looked at Rollins' stats. I'd give up a low-level prospect if they'll eat the salary.
  17. Edgy MD wrote: Do I have the timeline right? That this only came out because he attempted to apologize in front of a reporter? That's how I'm reading it too. It's that he apologized for using the word by using the word again, in front of a Chinese-American reporter. The original incident, if there was one, is unclear. Odd.

See the tail end of the very first post in this thread for a similar sentiment. Ha! Apologies for not RingM&PingL and stealing your joke.
  20. Thankfully, they have a 38th-round draft pick out of suburban Atlanta who went 2-15, 6.88 in AA last season; he's going to win 14 games and beat us five times this season. DAMMIT BRAVES

  22. I think Colon's your KMo14. If he's Bartolo 2013, then you can survive some growing pains from Wheeler/Niese/Syndergaard/Gee and you find this team in contention for something this summer. If he's a disaster, then we're also dreading being stuck with him for 2015 too.
  23. I'm suddenly both madly in love and really hungry.
